Different points of view are important.

If you have access to National Geographic Channel, at 10 pm tonight and then repeated at  1:00am  there is a show called Doomsday Preppers (Channel 253 and 1253 on Timewarner) You will see 4 very different points of view. Different points of view are healthy and important.  You may not agree with everyone but it will give you a chance to look at your own prep with perhaps a fresher view.
